Homeschool Mother's Journal #20: Festivals, Hikes and Workouts

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week...
Well, I'm kind of surprised it's Friday already. Last night was garbage night and I thought, "HOW?! I just did this Thursday!" Yeah... I have no idea at all where the week went.  I didn't much accomplish anything that would explain how time flew like that.

I did work out every single day, as I said I was going to start doing. I have worked out no less than an hour each day and burned 3256 calories in the last week. Go me!

In our homeschool this week...

We're at the end of the 14th week of Term II.   Our studies of Florida are underway and I'm so excited. I've been planning many things to do here in our area and can't way to do them (and share them with you!). I have two hikes planned so far. I can't wait. In our nature studies, we'll be studying the Scrub Jay with the County Conservation class.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
Tomorrow, we will be attending a Harvest Jamboree in another little po-dunk town around here. It promises all sorts of activities and fun, many of them educational! I'm very excited about it. Then tomorrow night, we'll be attending the Harvest Festival here in our own town at the Springs. So Saturday is completely packed with outdoor Autumn Festivals.

My favorite thing this week was…
For the first time in many years, I have no Fibromyalgia pain. As long as I work out each and every day, there is no pain. I will never stop doing this if it wards off the FMS monster.  SO thrilled to have discovered this fact. To think, all these years I avoided "straining" my muscles for fear that it would increase my pain!

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

But first....
What wonderful Autumn things are you doing this week?

Happy Homeschooling!
