In my life this week...
I have been working towards balance. It hasn't been achieved. Some exciting things are going on with my cleaning business. We've partnered with Cleaning for a Reason; were invited to participate in a Green Festival and may have a third partnership deal in the works. I obtained a business location address where I can store our supplies for the team members and have been working insane hours. When I'm not working (cleaning), I'm here working on partnerships, marketing, paperwork and payroll. My brain is exploding. Just sayin'.
In our homeschool this week...
We're at the end of Week 2 of Term II.
Again...here's that balance struggle. I'm still trying to get to a point where I'm "home" so that we can really have full learning days. Of course, most haven't started "back to school" and it's impossible to "get behind". But those of you who know me or who have been long-time readers know that I do not like being off of our routine. I think our "official start" has been delayed to September. I just can't find the time right now. I'm also considering that we're really on a 4-day school week. Perhaps I could do formal lessons on Saturday thru Monday since Tuesday thru Thursday takes me away all day. To steal a motto from my daughter, Amy... "Eh.. it'll all work out."

Our friend-photographer is coming tomorrow to do the girls Not Back-to-School photos as she did last year. We've been trying to pull this off for over a week but between her kids being ill, her work, my work and rainstorms, it hasn't happened. I'm hoping we can do this early in the morning before the heat or daily rain storms arrive.

“The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think - rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with the thoughts of other men.” ― James BeattiePlease go pay a visit (or link up!) the Homeschool Mother's Journal linkup this week.
